Sweet Siblings!

I just wanted to take a moment to brag on Gracie - she's the best big sister that there could possibly be. I layed Paul down to play so I could pick up a bit. I heard him start to get fussy so I went to check on him - Gracie beat me to it - gave him his Passy and was reading him a book! Such a sweet girl! Gracie, I'm so proud of you! I'm so blessed to have her as my daughter.

Visited Stone Mountian Today :-)

Today we took a family trip to Stone Mountain... the four of us and my mom. We were given free passes and the passes expire tomorrow so we went ahead today. We had a lot of fun despite the drizzling rain. Gracie had a blast riding the train and the other things. I took my camera but didn't want it to get wet, so I left it in the car. But at least we have some nice memories. Gracie and Chris went up on the skylift.... Mom, Paul, and I kept our feet on SOLID GROUND... lol. No heights for us! Gracie wants to go again, so I'm sure we will be back in the coming months. Poor Chris went to stone mountain with us after getting off night shift, stayed up all day, and went to work this evening.... So he's going on over 24 hours of NO SLEEP...

Not too much new...

Taking down the Christmas Tree today.... sad to see it go...

Going through Gracie's closet this week for customs to sell....

Got some great news that my nephew Bo is now pulling up in his crib! Way to go, Bo!

Gracie's been enjoying her trampoline very much! Can hardley get her off it!

Chris is snoozing away. He worked last night and is working every night this weekend. He'll be off monday and work tuesday and wednesday nights and then he's starting the POLICE ACADEMY on Friday!! WOO HOO! I'm so proud of him!! He's talking about after the police academy transferring out of the jail to serve warrants or work in the courthouse. Both are a little more dangerous but I know he'll be FABULOUS at them!

The kids are both doing great. Paul is feeling better and no longer running a fever from his shots. Such a happy little booger!

Have a great day!

The CheeseCakes...

Here's the recipe I'm making....

CheeseCake Cookies

I'll let you know what Chris says about them tomorrow morning.... I don't particularly care for Cheese Cake... BLAH!

Oh! And I almost forgot... Paul gets his first round of shots tomorrow.... I'll probably cry as much as he does! I think my mom is going to come up and help with Gracie while I take Paul since Chris will be sleeping. The joys of nightshift.... fortunately it's only for a little over a week since he'll be going to the Police Academy.

Dum de dum... bored out of my mind... lol. Gracie's playing with her new leappad from Great Grandma Daniel (my dad's mom). Got about 5 more minutes on the cheesecakes...
Off to through some laundry in...

Lazy Day... Sorta...

Today is going to be somewhat a lazy day... Just resting from the holiday chaos. Right now I've got rice cooking to put in a cassarole for dinner. And got the cream cheese on the counter to soften for making cheesecakes for Chris' work. Didn't have time to make them yesterday. I've already been out, picked up some milk and the mail and now getting ready to clean up the house and put away the Christmas toys and jumble. So much for a clean house! I had it looking great on Saturday for the cookie swap! Gracie's happily playing with her dollhouse and Paul's napping. I need to start working on my valentine projects. I've got a launch coming up Jan 4th and need to get moving to get the stuff done in time! So much to do, too little time! January will be a busy month for us. Chris goes to the Police Academy starting January 5th for 10 weeks. Gracie starts ballet again January 15th for 12 weeks. Mom's Birthday is the 19th. Then also on the 19th, we are taking a weekend trip to Helen, Georgia. They have an indoor swimming pool at the hotel that we are looking forward to! We even have a cute little gymboree swimtrunks for Paul - picked them up at the end of the season for 3.99! Can't beat that!

Well, gotta finish putting the casarole together then off to play with Gracie and her dollhouse! That's whats fun about having kids - you get to play with all the neato toys again! LOL!! Have a great TUESDAY!

Yesterday we got together with my brother, his wife Sara, their 11 month old son, Bo, and my grandparents and my mom over at my mom's house. We did a small little get-together Christmas before my grandfather left for his yearly trip to Florida. We had a lot of fun. The kids were all so cute together! Here's a couple pics

Paul was super excited about his presents.....

Today we did a couple errands - Chris took me to Office Depot and Target to pick out a few presents that he wanted to get me but wanted me to pick out - I got some kitchen items and a NEW COMPUTER CHAIR!! WOO HOO!

We are getting ready to have dinner shortly and then off to church....

Whew! Time Alone!

Good afternoon! This morning's Cookie Swap Christmas Party was a huge success. We had so much fun! The kids were able to play inside (since it was raining outside) and got along very well for the most part. We had lots of yummy food. I had made some sugar cookies into trees, stars, and bells for the kids to decorate. They had a blast!

I couldn't believe how much my nephew, Bo, had grown! Such a cutie!

And here are the cookies that me and Sara (sister in law) made - Mine is the tree!

We got a lot of new cookie recipes and lots of cookies to try!

Now Chris has gone in to work for some mandatory overtime and Gracie just left with Grandma for her 2nd ever night away from home. She's been away from us more than that when we had Paul, but always in her bed. Sooo... we'll see how tonight goes. I'm sure she'll be fine... I just get nervous about her riding with Grandma for the hour drive home. Especially with all the crazies out on the Friday before Christmas.
Have a great weekend!

Banana Bread SUCCESS!

Lol.... All the Banana breads are gone and eaten according to Chris.... he only got one. Even the Sheriff helped himself! So nice to know that they were enjoyed! I've gotten my cookies done for the cookie swap - I went ahead and just did a regular chocolate chip cookie. Wasn't in the mood to mash any more bananas!!

Well, the kiddos are in bed and I'm finishing up the sugar cookies - I'm making all the kids that will be at the party a couple sugar cookies to decorate. We have bells, trees, and stars!

Have a great evening!

Rainy Thursday!

It's kinda dreary out, making me a bit sleepy but lots to do today! Yesterday I accomplished my goal - I made 20 banana bread loaves for Chris' work. I decided to not send in the rest of the goodies until Christmas Day since Chris will be working Christmas Day - he goes back to nights on Christmas. Plus it was late and I was tired after making all those loaves! But Monday, he'll have cheesecakes and cookie bars to take in. I finally got to use the large kitchenaid mixer - what a neato device!

Tomorrow is our cookie party! So on the agenda for today is getting cookies made for the cookie swap and getting the house cleaned and decorated (and might I add.... KID PROOF). There are going to be about 8-10 kids and their parents from Gracie's playgroup. For some reason, I bought 6 lbs of bananas thinking I would need them all for Chris' banana breads.... Ummm.... No.... Got lots of bananas left. So I looked online and found a recipe that I'm going to try baking banana chocolate chip cookies. We'll see how it turns out! I'll let you know!

Oh- and we got the trampoline up, just have to get the enclosure up now so no kids fall off.

Sadly today or tomorrow, I'm taking Paul's 0-3 month clothes to the consignemnt shop... **SIGH** He's outgrown them :-( He's really long! And he's starting to be a chunky monkey.

Well, off to do throw some more laundry in and Gracie's asking to play a game....
Have a great day!
Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads this, but if not, I'm still having fun writing it!

Wednesday, December 20th

Good morning everyone! How are you this morning? Doing well here - got a decent night of sleep. Gracie's exhausted after running errands yesterday and she's still sleeping!

Chris' tazor class went well - he's got a mark on his shoulder from the tazor and it's a bit sore. He got 3 seconds of the tazor. He said those 3 seconds took forever!

Here's a picture of what our tree looks like:

And then look what our goofy girl was doing! She liked the "Big Socks"!

Today is going to be a day of cooking/cleaning. I'm going to make some desserts and breads for Chris' work. On the list is banana bread, chocolate chip cookie bars, and more! Tomorrow is his work Christmas party. They are all going out to the Mexicali Grill after work.

Have a fantastic day!

New Blog!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my new blog, where you can read about all our happenings. Today I'm running errands. Have to go pick up a form so Chris can go to the Georgia Post Certification School. He's really excited about that. The kids are doing well. Gracie is watching the Wonderpets and Paul is in my lap. Having a fun week here - getting ready for our Christmas Cookie Swap Party on Friday - having some of Gracie's friends over from the playgroup. Wanna come?

Chris is at a class today- for Tazors. He will be carrying a tazor in the jail now. The only downfall... he will get shocked with the tazor today! We'll see how that goes!

Let's see... what else is going on? Not too much. Gracie's puppy Goldie is doing much better - last week we almost lost her! To make a long story short, the vet didn't spay her when they said they did. So when we realized this, we took her right into the vet. Fortunately, we caught her before she got pregnant! After the surgery, the vet checked on her and her gums were pale - she was bleeding internally. They ended up having to give her a blood transfusion and they weren't sure if she was going to make it for a while. Fortunately she is fine and back to her happy self again!

Gracie is super excited about Christmas - she asks almost every day if it's Christmas yet. We've been to see the Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier, which was a ton of fun. And all of our Christmas Shopping is done. Gracie's big gift is going to be the Fisher Price Digital Camera - I'm so glad that I bought it back in September - every place has been sold out for a while and people are having to pay high prices to get them now! The camera is supposed to be "kid proof" and not break even if you throw it down the stairs! She's been wanting a camera and I didn't want to get her a real one so this is perfect for her! She's also getting some board games and her other wish was a Periwinkle stuffed animal from Blue's Clues. So we found a beanie baby Periwinkle at the halmark store that is perfect! Other than that she asked for a red pony.... haven't seen one of those, so she's most likely not getting it. She liked the Fur-Real Horse that she saw on a commercial, but we're not paying 300 dollars for it!!!

Paul is getting a couple infant toys and a thing that plays music and puts a light show on the wall - I think he'll like it.

I also got the kids coordinating pajamas from Gymboree to wear Christmas Eve. They will be so cute! I can't wait to see them on!

Chris is getting some good stuff - can't post it though, since I know he'll read this!

Have a great day!
