Today's Update!

Good Saturday everyone! Well, we ended up not going to Fogo De Chao for our anniversary yesterday - the atlanta traffic was horrible due to Final Four and it also being the first day of spring break. So we went to Sweet Tomatoes instead. Mom's going to watch the kids wednesday and we're going to attempt to go back. We are going around lunch time so it should be fine. We still had a nice time though!

Today we went Easter Egg Hunting this morning! Paul and Gracie both got a ton of eggs. They had a blast. There was a huge festival and best of all.. it was all free! I'll load pics up in a bit!

Then off to walmart to get the rest of the stuff for our garden and to get Paul a tree. Gracie and I are growing veggies and blueberries. So far the squash, tomatoes, and okra have all sprouted. Still waiting on the peppers. We also got more seeds today so we can have snap peas and zuchini. Can't wait! Gracie is so excited about the garden as well.

OOOOH!! Forgot to post this! My little man has 2 teeth now! Both bottom front ones have broken through!! What is wrong with this kid? He's doing everything way too early... sometimes I'm still counting to make sure he's only 5 months old. He acts so much older. He's scooting across the floor too. Put him in a sitting position and he'll rock and wiggle and make it all the way across the floor on his bottom. Or he'll get to a crawling stance and push with his legs to get where he wants to go. SLOW DOWN PAUL! MOMMY WANTS TO KEEP YOU AS A BABY!!!

Speaking of.... I'm sooo sick of people asking if we are done having kids. All the time we get the "Well you have a boy and girl so you should be done". Why do we have to be done since we have 1 of each? Is that some unmentioned rule? Are we done? Heck if I know! I think we are done for this moment in time. Would I be devastated if I was pregant? No! I love my kiddos and would happily add to the bunch. I know health wise it's not a good idea since I had a csection with paul, but in now way would I be upset. So to answer the question that everyone asks.... WE DONT KNOW IF WE ARE DONE OR NOT! IT'S OKAY TO HAVE MORE THAN THE TYPICAL 2 KIDS! Sorry... just had to get that off my chest as it seems everyone has been asking that lately. I've heard that when you're done, you'll know. There is my rant of the day ;-)

What is Love?

Wow... Tomorrow will be my 5 year anniversary of marriage to my wonderful husband, Chris. I can't believe it's been that long. Time flies when you're having fun! I think I have to be one of the luckiest women alive - being able to find my soul mate so young and be happily married! We met when I was 16 and he was ... ummmm... I think 20. (Hehehe... love those older men!) We met while we were working at JC PENNEY at the Mall of Georgia. I sold Men's clothing and he was security. We would chat off and on, but nothing out of the norm. One day I was having a really bad day and it was the day before payday so of course I was flat broke. Chris and his friend Randall were ordering a pizza and invited me to join them on my lunch break. So I did! I was in their security office (not allowed by company policy! WHOOPS!) and we were chatting it up and enjoying pizza. Then my manager knocked on the security door so I went and hid in one of the interegation rooms. And my manager WOULD NOT LEAVE! He kept hanging around chatting with them. So I'm stuck in the back room trying not to move but knowing that my break time was well over!!! Finally he leaves and I was able to slip out unnoticed and go back to work - I got fussed at a little for talking a long break by the lady that was supposed to break after me but oh well! LOL! I told Chris I'd take him out sometime since I was able to share their pizza. A few days later, I invited another guy that I liked (can't remember his name anymore!), Chris, Nicole, and Nicole's boyfriend over since my mom was out of town and my brother was going out with friends and not coming home. So we get to my house. Chris, trying to show off, spun his tires in the cul-de-sac and eded up hitting one of them on a storm drain! Blew his tire completely! No hope for it at all and then he was stuck not being able to go anywhere! We all hung out, watched the little mermaid, and just were crazy teens. The other guy I liked ended up having to leave! I had 2 cats and he was Very BADLY allergic to them! Poor guys whole face was swollen! So that left Nicole, her boyfriend, Chris and me. We watched movies all night and chatted. Sometime in the wee hours of the morning we all went to waffle house and then went back to watch more kids movies! Lame, but it was fun. After that, we started hanging out more often - I was even bad and skipped school so we could hang out once. Anyways, we were inseperable. After just 2 months, he gave me a promise ring. We told each other everything and would often talk all night on the phone. Less than 2 years after we started dating, we got married on March 30, 2002. Do I have any regrets? Absolutely not! I think if you find your "soul-mate", you should hold on to them! Never let them go and enjoy each and every moment. We've been through good and bad times, like all couples. Chris lost his job after 1 year of marriage when I was a stay at home mom and Gracie was an infant. But we made it through, even though we had to sell our house and move in with my mom for 4 months. We've made it through even more trials and such that will go unmentioned. I think what works for us is that we're always open and honest with each other. We can talk about anything and work things out. I also have a very high respect for him and him likewise for me. I trust him completely and try my best to honor him and be his "trophy wife". I know I'm far from perfect, but that's my goal - to be a "trophy wife". What is a trophy wife? I view it as a wife that a husband would be proud of - not neccesarily the perfect body and looks. Some of the prettiest people I know have the most UGLY personalities. I want Chris to be proud of me for my ambitions, for the way I handle the children, and the way I take care of him and the house. Anyways.... I'm starting to ramble now! Don't worry - the kids are watching a movie! LOL! Have a great week and give the one you love a big hug and kiss! You just might surprise them!

Happy Sunday all! We have had a quiet day here - Chris is working today and is picking up overtime tomorrow. I've been folding some laundry, crocheting a bit, and playing with the kids.

Gracie is sure looking grown up, huh? And wow do we ever clash with our personalities!! I'm told it's because she is just like me. What a scary thought that is! But boy is she headstrong! She's also become quite the talker. Most of all, she asks questions that we really don't want to answer or that there is no answer for. Like "Mommy - what do you and Daddy do when the door is closed?" or "Can I take a shower with Daddy, too?". Ha.... definately don't want to answer those questions already! I suppose it's only going to get worse with the questioning!

Boy am I so behind on crocheting and photography.... I crocheted a top today to match a friend of mine's skirt but I'm not sure if I like how it turned out. Maybe it will look better when they are put together. We'll just wait and see!

Sooo... what's on my ebay watch list for this week? First off, I'm watching this adorable tutu resell set

Other than that, just some odds and ends. I need to get Gracie some more hair clips to keep all those wild hairs out of her face! Anyone have any CHEAP? Email me!

Anyways, hope you have a great week! Gotta check on dinner - we're having terriaki meatloaf (THANKS CHRISTY FOR THE RECIPE), stir fried veggies and rice. YUM!

Anyways... next Friday... is.... GUESS WHAT..... our 5TH anniversary!!!! We're planning on leaving the kids with Grandma and taking off for Atlanta to go eat at an all you can eat Brazilian Steakhouse called Fogo De Chou. OMG it's TDF!!!! We went last year and OOOOHHHH I've never had better food!!!

Hello everyone! I see that a lot of people have been stopping by the past few days hoping for an update! Been really busy! I can see you because I put a hidden code on the page and can see exactly who has been to my blog, how long they stayed, how they got here, etc. Kinda neat!

Anyways... had a great weekend - soooo busy! Chris' graduation was SUPER nice. He was sooooooooo H-O-T in his uniform! Pics will come later when I get them loaded! Had a great party and visit with his grandparents. The kids were in heaven being spoiled by their great-grandparent. Sunday I got terribly sick. Still trying to recover - still have an extremely sore throat. Monday I went to the dr and tested neg for strep and the flu so it's some other virus. Monday night had a suprise party for my sister n law's sweet 16. That was fun! She was definately surprised. Now we're finally able to relax!

Forgot to post last night that we had a LOVELY time with Chris' friend. And Chris was definately surprised! Gracie has always had Justin wrapped around her finger since birth. The first thing Gracie does is crawl up in his lap, look at him sweetly, and say.... "Do you have any money"..... LOL!! She's never done that to anyone else! It was so funny. And of course she talks him into taking her into a toy store and getting a prize. We really had a nice time - went to breakfast, went shopping. Then he spent the night, we went to lunch with Chris during Chris' lunchbreak Monday and then he left to go visit another friend in Atlanta before catching his flight. Sooo... my little girl is a Gold Digger!

Monday March 12th

Good Monday everyone! Hope all is well with you! Doing well here! Spent the day SHOPPING! Bought Paul a new carseat since it's getting hard to tote him in the carrier! We got him the evenflo triumph deluxe carseat. It's pretty nifty.

The excitement is getting closer!! Almost graduation day!! Chris is ready for it to be over. We spent the evening working on one of his projects- he had to write a crime scene investigation report. He knew what he wanted to say but couldn't get it down right so I was helping him a bit. I think he's just nervous about doing bad on it. But he should do well on it now.

Need a cute baby boy fix? He doesn't look like a baby much anymore! He's getting his little man look!

And look... he found his toes! When he gets tired of sitting with his toys, he'll just bend over and suck on his toes!!! It's sooo cute!

Busy Busy!

Got too much to do and too little time!!

So glad Chris is home. The first thing he did when he saw me is give me a HUGE hug where he nearly broke my back!! Hehehe... I think time apart was actually good for us- I think he really... umm... "missed me". LOL!

Whew... got one cupcake done today and ready to ship tomorrow. I swear... I am sooo sick of making these cupcakes! Although, can't beat the money! I probably won't list customs on ebay for a while since I still have a big to-do list. Gonna probably list some resells maybe tonight or tomorrow night though.

Tomorrow shall be the cleaning day! I need Chris to help me move a few things around and get ready for his big party!!! I'm thinking about getting a laptop since my computer is too bulky for the space we have... what do you guys think?

Well, I dug through Gracie's clothes today that she has for size 4 - NOTHING for summer! YIKES!! It's her last box of handmedowns that we've gotten - and there is nothing for summer.... soooo... gotta go shopping! Not this weekend though - maybe next week. Anyone have any unwanted 4s? Send them my way.

Can you keep a secret? One of Chris' best friends is coming this weekend to surprise him since he can't make it for his graduation! Who will it be? Can't say yet!

OOOOHHH I wish he was HOME!!! I miss him soooo much!

Back in one piece! Had a fantastic trip! Working on getting things put away and cleaned up because CHRIS COMES HOME TODAY!!!! WOO HOO!! I can't wait to see him and give him a BIG 'OLE KISS!!!!

Good Saturday Morning!

Good morning everyone! Today should be a fun day. I'm getting over a sinus infection but feeling MUCH better than yesterday. Chris is changing the oil in the car and then we're getting ready to take the kids to Grandma's house. Grandma is going to watch them so we can go to dinner tonight for my birthday. Although, my birthday is on Monday. Chris will be going out of town for police training tomorrow afternoon and won't be back until Wednesday late night. That's the longest we've been seperated since we've been married. But we'll be fine. The kids and I are headed out tomorrow morning to Pine Mountain Georgia for a vacation.

Well, I finally finished a shrug that I sold... now working on a gajillion of those cupcake purses... boy are they POPULAR! Next on the agenda is working on my spring stuff!
