Busy Bee!

Sigh. Yes, I know, I've abandoned this blog again. Haven't taken really any pictures lately, and nothing too exciting to share so I figured I wouldn't bore you all.

Mommy Octopus has really taken off. I've gotten several emails from local people encouraging and thanking me for getting the blog going. It is a lot of fun.

Kids are doing fine, Chris is on late shift for 4 weeks, and I'm doing pretty good. Still haven't found time to open my store back up. There will always be time when the kids are grown.

Hope you all have a great week and I'll try to take some more pics of the kids soon.

Blessings

I am constantly amazed at God's goodness to my family. To put it mildly, the past few months have been a struggle. I've had my business closed since the end of October and Hubby hasn't been able to get the overtime he had been getting in the past. Big bucks less than what we used to have.

Thankfully, I've been pouring my time into getting us deals on food and household items, so we're well stocked up there. Trying to clothe these ever-growing kids was becoming quite a feat though. It was becoming a little concerning. One of my online friends emailed me about 2 weeks ago asking if I wanted some of her daughter's hand me downs. She told me that they were well worn, but still had some life. I said SURE! So Gracie got a large box of stuff that will be great for the days that we stay home and play or for playgroup. Another local friend emailed me a few days later asking if Paul needed size 4 stuff for next fall. Again, I said SURE! So now he's set for next fall! Then another friend offered us a huge bag of nice stuff for Anna size 18mo-2t. So she is set for those sizes. I'm just totally amazed at how everything always works out.

Hubby and I had also made the hard decision that we were going to have to tell Gracie that she couldn't go back to Master's next year. She would have been devestated - she LOVES going and is learning so much. Yesterday I was telling a friend how I wasn't looking foward to telling Gracie that she wouldn't be able to go back. The next thing I knew, she had paypaled me the FULL amount for the WHOLE YEAR at Master's! I couldn't believe it! I totally cried my eyes out and praised the Lord for his blessings. God is amazing.

It reminds me of the verse about how we shouldn't worry about we eat, drink, or wear, because God will take care of us. He has blessed me with such incredible friends.

Anna turns 7 months!

Yes, it's hard to believe, but our favorite little baby girl is now 7 months old, as of yesterday. She's pretty much crawling - she gets where she needs to go. She's eating thicker foods and loves everything and everyone. She loves to snuggle. Here are a few pics of our big 7 month old that I took yesterday.

Snow Day 2010!

Last night and today's snow was much more fun than the yuck we got LAST YEAR. Our power stayed on and the kids were able to enjoy it.

Here are pictures from yesterday

Something is Missing!

Something is a missing from Gracie.... can you guess?

Yes! It's her first tooth!

Anna's Blankie

When I found out we were expecting baby #3, I found a pattern for a blanket that I wanted to make. I got this awesome silky bamboo yarn that is so incredible to touch. Just lovely. I planned on crocheting it and having it ready when baby arrived. As you all can guess, that just didn't happen. Around Christmas time I found the yarn, and debated on selling it. I search on ebay and found that I wouldn't get anywhere near what I had paid for the yarn. Soo... I decided to seek out a crocheter that didn't have her hands full with 3 kids, homeschooling, and all our typical chaos. I found a marvelous lady who did an excellent job and charged me a reasonable rate. And here is Miss Anna with the blanket I intended to make her. If you want to find the crocheter (she has LOTS of beautiful items up for sale, click HERE.
