New Fridge!

Doing much better today. New fridge is installed and is being used. CLICK HERE to view our nifty new fridge. The guys bringing it in were a little worried that it wasn't going to fit, but I had done my homework - it is a perfect fit! Anything bigger wouldn't have worked. It's exactly what I want, although I'd loved a little bigger, it wouldn't have fit! Water from the front is important to us and this was the best value and perfect size.

Now comes the fun of getting our emergency fund built back up, but that's no biggie. Hmmm... I think I could get used to new appliances, though. They are rather exciting! Next will be a front loader washer and dryer! Hopefully we won't HAVE to buy them on a whim and can get them when we've saved the money aside.

Some exciting news - Blondie starts horse camp Monday. WOO HOO! She's so excited! Even more exciting is that my sister n law is going to be staying with us for a week because she's helping out at horse camp! The kids are thrilled about that.

I think we are officially ready for Anna's arrival now - or at least with the essentials. A great friend is letting us use her infant carseat. So we're good to go! Almost! I've got a small list of a few things I still need to get - mainly after-delivery stuff for me, maybe a new nursing gown for the hospital, still gotta get scratch mitts, gotta pull out my maya wrap from the depths of Bear's closet, but other than that, I think we're about set! Oh and I wanted to get a couple Gymboree baby blankets - I love their quality and how soft they are. Been watching ebay for a good deal on some used ones.

I will try and get some pics up here - I'm sure you all are tired of my rambling lately. Honestly, my memory card is full and I haven't had the chance to get pics printed and take more. Well, I guess I can share a few that my friend took at Relay for Life. Her daughter was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and we went to support them at the relay. So here's a few pics.

Prayers Please!

I know I've been grumpy with my blog posting lately, and I hate to bother everyone further, but please pray for us. We're trying our hardest to save up to pay cash for the delivery of the baby, but it's getting harder and harder with everything that has come up lately.

We had to use some of our emergency savings over the weekend as the Durango died at the post office, with groceries in the car. Turned out that it was the battery. Thankfully we had enough in our car fund to pay for it and we're off on our merry way again. Now the fridge is not working. Not one bit. Apparently it didn't get fixed when we had them come out a couple months ago. And of course now we are no longer under warranty. On top of this, our dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer are all holding on by threads. All of our newly bought groceries are in coolers all over the kitchen.

Hubby just looks so discouraged and I know I'm starting to feel discouraged as well, with all these expenses right before the baby comes. I'm trying to keep positive and be thankful that we have our emergency fund, but it's sad to watch that hard earned emergency fund start trickling away all at once and now start to question if we will be able to pay the hospital bill in cash. It's just very frustrating.

I'm doing a lot better though - feeling about my usual strength. Still behind though in housework and orders. Doing my best - that's all I can do. Thankful to have a roof over our head.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Hi everyone - I'm doing MUCH better than my last posting. Finally over whatever was causing me to feel so ill. Now comes the fun part of catching up on everything that I'm behind on!

I had some very successful shopping trips this weekend - spent $20 at Publix and saved $98! Spent $60 at Kroger, saved $160! Got free toilet paper at Walmart. We're good to go! I can officially say that our fridge, freezer, deep freezer, and pantry are busting at the seams! I may skip out on grocery shopping the deals next week since we have no more room!

Hubby is enjoying his new job, although they just opened a new position for the road and that's what he REALLY wants to do, so I'm not sure how long this Monday-Friday fun will last. I'm really enjoying it and the kids love seeing their Daddy everyday. When he works his 12 hour shifts they never saw him on the days he worked, so they'd end up seeing him about 1-2 times a week. I love having him home with us in the evening and to snuggle with every night.

I am now 33 weeks, 2 days pregnant. Doing much better since I'm no longer feeling blah. It's possible that I just needed some rest.

Kids are doing great - Blondie is getting excited about the baby. Bear loves running up to me, hugging my belly and saying "Hi Baby Anna" in a sing-song voice before running off to his next adventure.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Appointment today

Baby is doing well and still measuring great. I'm still not doing so well. Doc thinks I'm overdoing it (hmmm.. me? overdoing it? nah....). I gained only half a pound so they are a little worried about it since I should be gaining a pound a week or so. I just can't eat and when I do, I feel sick. On top of that hubby's worked 8 days straight so I haven't caught a break yet. My laundry is stacking up, dishes are stacking up, it's just chaos. Poor kids are tired of a sick mommy too.

Just keep me in your prayers - I can't keep going like this for the next 7 weeks or so.

Too Good To Be True

Yep. Too good to be true. This pregnancy was going too good. Now that I have hit the 3rd trimester, I feel like garbage! I can't hardley eat anything or I feel sick. I'm grumpy beyond anything you can imagine. Seems to me the 1st and 3rd trimester have switched on me. More than half the day, I end up just laying down on the couch.

My next appointment is Wednesday and I'll be almost 33 weeks.

This too shall pass.

School Year Ahead

I know, I know. School's not even done for this year and I'm already thinking of next year.

We got Blondie's new curriculum this week - really excited about it. Blondie is finished with science, social studies, and Bible for the year. Just need to finish up some LA and Math, but shouldn't be too much longer.

This year, hubby and I are saving and going to put Blondie in The Master's Academy. Click Here to see more about it. I just contacted the person in charge and they have 2 openings left for her age. So hubby and I are getitng her in! I'm really excited about it and I know she'll love it. Plus it will be a HUGE benefit to her in the future. We will of course still be homeschooling, this will just be an all-day Thursday learning experience for her. We know several people already in the program so she'll have friends there already.

To all you relatives that are reading this, we're asking instead of presents for Blondie's birthday, if you want to send something to help cover her tuition, that'd be great. We're hoping to be able to pay it all in full so we don't have to make monthly payments. I've got to send her registration in next week sometime.

Anyways - we're very excited about this opportunity!

Swap Board!

My favorite swap board of which I am a co-owner is accepting new memberships! Basically you post items you would like to offer. They are grabbed by somone else and you ship it to them. Then you have credits to "buy" the items that you would like. It's lots of fun! You can even "buy" stuff from my shop on occasion - no money ever exchanged!

COME JOIN US

Monday-Friday Wifey

Looks like I'm going to be joining the ranks as a Monday-Friday wifey. Hubby is being moved to work at the courthouse starting MONDAY and will be working a "normal" schedule.

So... what's it like being a Monday-Friday wife and having a husband home every night? This is going to be odd!

Freebie of the Week!

Here's my favorite freebies this week:

Click here - right hand side, shows Johnson Take along pack - $1 off. Click and print 2. Go to Rite Aid. In their paper, they have Johnson's Take along packs for 1.99 this week on sale. In the paper is also a coupon for 1.00 off a Johnson product - cut it out, and another one from another paper. Use this and the coupon you printed online and get 2 travel packs free!

I was telling the ladies last night at the Mom's Night Out about this soap the Johnson and Johnson buddy soap - you can get it for 97 cents a Target or at Walmart. Print the coupon found HERE (you can print 2 per computer) and it will give you $1.00 off any buddy item from Johnson and Johnson, making the soap FREE. It's a great soap and my daughter uses it daily.

Free Dry Idea Deoderant - go through the coupons seen HERE and select to print the 2.00 off Dry idea deoderant. Even if you don't use this deoderant, get it and donate it! You can print 2 coupons. Take it to Target and they should still have the deoderant marked down to $2, making it free! If you already printed this coupon, they just listed this one as new so you can reprint it now. While you're at coupons.com print a few of the Kellogg coupons for 1.00 off. Kroger has some Kellogg cereals for 1.99 on sale. Making it 99 cents for a box of cereal after coupon!
